Plans are taking shape for a Lancaster Community Center.  The City of the Dome is poised to strengthen these quality-of-life benefits for area families, businesses and visitors.  Most exciting about this new Community Center is the opportunity to welcome our future while we continue to embrace our past.  Just as we are grateful for the efforts of past generations – in making our hometown what it is today – those who come after us will appreciate our foresight in creating this attractive multi-purpose facility.

When completed, the Community Center will include:

·An expanded and improved Public Library.

·A new History Center, relocating and incorporating the collections of the current Cunningham Museum, as well as artifacts owned by the City of Lancaster and local residents.

·Space for rotating art displays, including better display space for the library’s permanent local artist’s collection

·A multi-purpose community room to accommodate a variety of gatherings, activities and programs.

·A Visitor’s Center and an improved outdoor performing arts venue.
